Hello, I'm Madison!

As a Resident in Counseling, I strive to create a relaxed and inclusive therapeutic environment where clients can open up and explore themselves without fear or judgment. I believe my clients are the experts in their own lives, and my role is to offer support, while also gently challenging them to take an active role in their growth and healing. My approach is collaborative, holistic, strengths-based, and tailored to each individual’s unique needs and identities.

My clinical focus includes working with children (ages 8 and up), adolescents, and women from diverse backgrounds. I have experience working with families from diverse cultural backgrounds and aim to provide tailored, holistic support to families navigating conflict and transition. I enjoy working with children and teens experiencing academic stress and symptoms of anxiety and depression and watching them find their voice and heal.  Additionally, I have expertise in helping young adults working through life transitions, identity development, and emotional challenges. I utilize insight-based psychotherapy grounded in a feminist, LGBTQ+-affirming and trauma-informed framework, and I integrate expressive techniques such as play and art therapy alongside somatic and mindfulness-based skills. My work is rooted in the belief that our intersecting identities shape how we experience the world, and I am committed to providing inclusive, culturally responsive care.

My therapeutic mission centers on cultivating a welcoming and supportive space where individuals feel genuinely understood, respected, and encouraged to grow. I approach therapy as a partnership, recognizing each client’s lived experience and inner wisdom while offering guidance that promotes self-awareness, confidence, and emotional well-being. With a deep commitment to inclusive and socially aware practice, I am constantly expanding my knowledge to support children, adolescents, women, and young adults as they navigate this world. Through a relationship grounded in trust and compassion, my goal is to help clients build inner strength, clarity, and a deeper sense of purpose in their lives.

Before becoming a therapist, I worked in healthcare during the COVID-19 pandemic, primarily with women and children, and later transitioned into teaching, where I discovered a passion for working with adolescents. These experiences informed my holistic, compassionate approach to care and reinforced my commitment to walking alongside clients as they navigate change, loss, and growth. My mission is to help clients find meaning, resilience, and empowerment through a therapeutic relationship built on mutual respect, trust, and authenticity.

Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my rescue dog, Sandy, as well as engaging in creative outlets such as painting and working with clay. I value curiosity, connection, and exploration—qualities I also bring into my clinical work.
