Hi, I'm Peyton!

Meaningful change begins with being seen, heard, and accepted, just as you are. I believe healing happens when we feel safe enough to show up authentically, and I strive to create a space where that safety and trust can grow. Everyone’s story is different, and I’m here to meet you where you are, with compassion and without judgment. I tailor my approach to honor your unique needs, values, and goals—working collaboratively to help you move toward growth, healing, and greater self-understanding.

My approach to therapy is grounded in the belief that we all deserve support on our journey—especially when life feels overwhelming or uncertain. Asking for help isn’t easy, and I deeply respect the courage it takes to start this process. My goal is to co-create a space that feels caring, comfortable, and empowering. Together, we’ll explore the past and present while identifying your strengths, building coping skills, and cultivating resilience. I support clients navigating a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, substance use, family and relationship dynamics, and identity development.

I use an integrative and flexible therapeutic style, drawing from Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Strengths-Based approaches, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). My foundation in Family Systems and relationship work helps guide our exploration of how past patterns show up in the present. Therapy isn’t
one-size-fits-all—so I work with you to discover what feels most effective and empowering for your specific goals. I especially enjoy working with clients around identity, purpose, and interpersonal connections.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master's in Counselor Education with a focus in Marriage and Family Counseling from Virginia Commonwealth University. My professional background includes work in inpatient substance use treatment, community mental health, and
research on topics like educational equity and discrimination in healthcare. I’ve also had the joy of supporting youth through summer education programs and mentorship around college and career readiness.

Outside of the therapy room, I love getting lost in a good book—especially fantasy and literary fiction. I’m a lifelong learner who enjoys trying new crafts (currently tackling crochet!) and spending time with family and friends who keep me grounded and inspired.
